Our Farm

Wissett Lodge has been farmed by the Kiddy family since 1954. We grow wheat, barley, oil seed rape and winter bean crops. In 2011 we introduced a flock of sheep to graze our grassland. Our lambing season begins in February; visitors can observe lambing, and guests in Bloomsbury can even watch proceedings whilst washing up!

For many decades, wildlife conservation around the farm has been carefully considered. Ancient hedges surrounding working farm fields are maintained as natural habitats for wildlife. A farm walk allows visitors to enjoy the beauty of the farm and the wildlife over the ponds, fields and arboretum. Our sunsets are not to be missed!
